The following e-mail has been sent to club secretaries this morning.
I am sure that you will all have been heartened by the Government statement on Monday that, all being well, outdoor sport will be able to resume from 29th March. ECB are currently studying the statement and, presumably, talking to the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (as they did last year) about cricket specifically. They have intimated that we will receive some guidance in early March. They are optimistic that the 2021 recreational season will be able to start as planned, but there will be restrictions in place which are likely to be similar to last year, but may differ slightly.
We will share further information with yourselves as we get it.
