REGISTERING ON PLAY CRICKET AS A YPLN UMPIRE
In order to be properly recognised on Play Cricket as an umpire it helps if you are properly registered as a member of YPLN (this is different from being registered as a member of a club). It takes only a couple of minutes to sort this out using the following guidance:
If you are already a member of Play Cricket, with a login and password, due to playing for a club:
Just let us know the name of the club - we will find you on the system and add you as an umpire (email assistant@yplncricket.co.uk with the information).
Alternatively, log in to Play Cricket, then go to https://ypln.play-cricket.com/ and find the Account option in the top menu, then click "Join this site" and submit the form that pops up, explaining that you want to be registered as an umpire. If the "Join this site" option isn't showing then contact assistant@yplncricket.co.uk
If you are not already a member of Play Cricket with a login and password:
Enter your personal details and click Register
You will get an email – click Activate in the email
You will then be taken back to the Play Cricket website to create a password
Next you will be taken to a 4-step “Wizard” which allows you to specify that you are :
Joining as an Umpire
Umpiring for a League
That the league is Yorkshire Premier League North
And then there’s a box to enter your reasons for joining (just put that you are joining as an umpire)
Then click “Done” and your membership application will be received and approved by the league
If this “Wizard” doesn’t appear then go to “Edit Account” in the top right hand corner, and click on “Add Membership”. Type “Yorkshire Premier League North” in the search
box, find the league in the drop down menu, type a reason for joining, and submit your application.
