YPLN T20 final
York snatched victory in the final of the one-off YPLN T20 competition with a ball to spare as they defetaed hosts Sheriff Hutton Bridge by 4 wickets. Earlier in the day, 'The Bridge' had looked set for a large total at the half way stage with the Fisher brothers Adam and Mark going well. Once Mark was out for 44, though, no-one could stay with skipper Adam to forge a telling partnership and once he was out for 47 in the 18th over, the innings petered to a close on 148 all out. The locals' prediction that it wasn't enough appeared all too accurate as Harry Adair and Charlie Elliott gave York a brisk start putting on 81 in just over 10 overs.

When they were out within a few balls of each other for 38 and 37 respectively, however, the home side started to fancy their chances of clawing their way back into the match and when they got the prize wicket of York skipper Duncan Snell, their supporters confidence was high. It wasn't to be, though, as some big hitting from Guy Darwin, 23, Alex Liley and Oliver Leedham saw York home. Duncan Snell collected the trophy which the League had comissioned in memory of York stalwart Dan Woods who sadly lost his long battle with cancer over the winter.
