HUNTERS ECB Yorkshire Premier League North

Despite the continuing challenges presented by Covid-19, the Management Board would like to outline its current thoughts for the 2021 season.
Our main objective is to provide a full league programme for all divisions using the normal playing conditions and with promotion and relegation as per the league rules.

Any restrictions as a result of Covid-19 will be determined by ECB and the Government.

We propose to start, as normal, on either Saturday April 17 or Saturday April 24 and finish on September 4 for the ECB Premier Division, to facilitate the Yorkshire Premier League play-offs, and on September 11 for all other divisions.

The need for Bank Holiday fixtures will depend on the start date. If we start on April 17 there will only be need for the ECB Premier Division to have fixtures on August 30. If we start on April 24 it will necessitate using May 31 for them as well and one of these dates for the other divisions.

We also intend to run the usual programme of cup competitions.

As you will appreciate, Covid-19 may well impact on the 2021 season and we will be working on contingency plans if our plans prove impossible to deliver.

As announced following the AGM, we intend to carry out a review of Playing Conditions in the Second Divisions and below in January. If there is a desire for change amongst clubs with teams in those divisions, we will hold an EGM to put proposals forward.

Obviously, things are changing regularly and these planned arrangements may be subject to change.
