It’s been a hugely successful and encouraging season across the board for New Earswick Cricket Club.
🔹 1st XI
The First Team narrowly missed out on a second successive promotion, finishing level on points with Knaresborough but just losing out on the head-to-head record. Despite the disappointment, the season was full of positives, especially with a number of talented young players making big contributions. With continued development and experience, the squad looks well-placed to push on again next year.
🔹 2nd XI
The Second XI enjoyed a superb campaign, earning promotion after a series of strong performances throughout the season. The team saw excellent contributions from a mix of exciting young talent and experienced players, demonstrating the depth and strength of the club across all age groups.
🔹 3rd XI
This year also marked the first ever season for New Earswick’s Third XI—and it was a resounding success. The team provided a platform for several juniors to make their senior debuts, while also welcoming some new faces to the game and encouraging the return of a few older players. It was a fantastic step forward for the club's long-term development.
Overall, the future looks incredibly bright for New Earswick CC. With strong foundations in place and a thriving junior setup feeding into all three senior teams, the club is in a great position to build on this season’s achievements in 2026 and beyond.
