Equality Diversity & Inclusion Update

As a league, YPLN is committed to eliminating any form of discrimination and is taking proactive steps to achieve this. We have always abided by the ECBs 'Code of Conduct' and 'Anti-Discrimination code' (both of which can be found on our league website) and have always treated such issues as top priority.
We took the decision to strengthen our stand on discrimination, particularly racism, to ensure that there is clear awareness, accountability and standards in dealing with cases of this nature. We have created an EDI (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) working group, liaising with the ECB, to ensure that our cricketers at all levels participate in an inclusive environment protected from discrimination. Every player and official should feel actively supported and included, and have the knowledge and support necessary to challenge any form of discrimination.
Antony Andrews, who has been a member of our management board since 2020 will be taking on the role of EDI chairman and you will hear more on this matter over the winter months.
