LOAN PLAYERS

Loan Players
M20.1 Teams in Division One or below, that are their club's lowest (or only) team playing in a league match on the day in question, may borrow players from another club if they are short-handed. Teams that do not meet this description may not borrow players from other clubs. As an example, this means that if a club has a 1st and 2nd team playing on the same day then only the 2nd team may use players borrowed from another club on that day (assuming the 2nd team is in Division One or below).
M20.2 Such teams may only borrow players who are regular players in the same or a lower division as they are. See the Team Strengthening section M19 above for the definition of a "regular player" and for other regulations that apply to borrowed players.
M20.3 Loaned players must be fully registered on Play-Cricket with a 'parent' club in YPLN or other league agreed with the Registration Manager and must also be registered as a Loan Player by the borrowing club within 24 hrs of the match being played. The term of the loan must be set to be after the end of the current league season.
M20.4 Any player, whether adult or junior, involved in a loan will not be permitted to sign for the borrowing club for the current or subsequent season without the specific permission of the loaning club and approval by the League’s Registration Manager.
M20.5 No loan players will be permitted to play in re-arranged Saturday League matches. This rule is to prevent teams from being strengthened by the use of the number of loan players who could be available if the match were to be re-arranged to be played on a Sunday for example.
M20.6 The maximum number of loan players that can play for a team in any single appropriate league fixture is four.
M20.7 Loan players cannot play in cup matches
