The club must hold valid ECB Clubmark accreditation or the approved replacement/equivalent introduced by the ECB. 

The club and its relevant officers must be fully aware of the current General Conduct Regulations. 

The club must maintain appropriate insurance, including full public liability cover. 

The club must understand and act upon all applicable safety regulations and identified risks. 

Any club that live streams matches must understand and comply with the current live-streaming policy. 

The club must maintain current affiliation to the Yorkshire Cricket Foundation. 

The club must appoint a fully compliant Club Welfare Officer who holds all required checks, training and qualifications. 

The kitchen & other catering areas legally compliant. 

A working defibrillator must be in place. 

The club must have formally adopted disciplinary and/or conduct rules suitable for dealing with internal misconduct. 

A club that live streams matches must be included on the YPLN Live Streaming Register before streaming. 

The club must maintain current affiliation to the England and Wales Cricket Board through the applicable affiliation arrangements. 

The club must comply fully with the latest ECB safeguarding requirements and legislation. 

The club must comply fully with current ECB equality, diversity and inclusion requirements. 

All facilities must meet legal requirements and take proper account of the needs of disabled people. 

A well-stocked first-aid box must be available at all times for treatment of minor injuries. 

The club and its relevant officers must understand and comply with current disparity regulations. 

Must have a minimum of 1 junior team playing hardball junior league cricket. Junior hardball teams may include girls’ teams, but every counted team must play hardball cricket in an ECB-recognised junior cricket league. 

Teams already in the Conference who who do not have one junior team playing hardball cricket in an ECB recognised junior league must provide the league with a detailed plan on how they will restart the required junior cricket within a 12 month timescale or face relegation to a division where they meet the criteria at the earliest opportunity. 

Teams attempting to be promoted from the Conference to the Championship should be aware that teams will not be promoted unless they have three junior teams [this can include girls teams playing hardball cricket in an ECB recognised junior cricket league] playing hardball cricket in an ECB recognised junior cricket league in the season prior to intended promotion. 

The league can allow promotion into the Championship for teams who do not meet the junior cricket requirement but they must agree to a timescale and provide an in depth development plan. 

Clubs operating at Conference level are expected to run All Stars. This is highly recommended rather than compulsory in the source requirements. 

Clubs operating at Conferencer level are expected to run Dynamos. This is highly recommended rather than compulsory in the source requirements. 

It is highly recommended that the club have an identifiable girls’ section in place. 

Teams attempting to be promoted into the Championship who do not meet the girls cricket requirement must agree to a timescale and development plan. 

A dedicated groundsman or suitably responsible groundsperson must be available during matches. 

Stumps must be properly matched and in good condition with matching bails.  

Measures to prevent lost-ball delays. 

Every reasonable effort should be made to provide spectator parking within or immediately adjacent to the ground. 

At least one roller available during match. 

Outfield closely Mown. 

At least one suitable roller must be available for use during the match. 

Pitch brushed, remarked and rolled as required. 

Outfield free of hazards and obstructions. 

Sufficient parking for players and match officials must be available within or immediately adjacent to the ground. 

A seated area, ideally covered and sheltered, should be available for the batting side to watch the match. 

The square must be well maintained. The pitch must be distinguishable, correctly marked and rolled before play. 

Sight screens must be provided at both ends unless the background is white or explicit dispensation has been granted by the League Management Board.. 

Where only one sight screen is installed at an end, it must be at least eight metres wide. 

Sight screens must provide full screening without movement when bowlers operate over or round the wicket or right- and left-handed batters alternate. 

Sight-screen structures and non-reflective paintwork must be in good condition and screens should be outside the playing area wherever possible. 

A dedicated electronic or manual scoreboard must be clearly visible from most parts of the ground. A portable scoreboard is unacceptable unless temporary League dispensation has been approved. 

Scoreboard must display, at a minimum, total, wickets, overs bowled or remaining and first-innings total, using figures visible from the far side of the ground. 

A current DLS score must be displayed when applicable. A portable unit may be used but must be kept up to date. 

Reliable internet access must be available to the scorers of both teams. 

It is the responsibility of the home teams club safeguarding officer and Chairperson to ensure the scorers sit in a fixed safe place, away from the access of the public for the protection of both scorers. 

Suitable wheeled covers must be in place and used. 

Covers must be available to protect the pitch and bowlers’ run-ups during the match and during preceding days where appropriate. 

An adequate supply of sawdust and cloths must be available to minimise playing time lost to wet conditions. 

Additional sheets to cover a minimum area of 80ft × 12ft. 

The ground must have adequate water-removal apparatus. 

Separate, secure home and away dressing rooms must be readily accessible from the playing area, preserve privacy and provide suitable security for possessions. 

Adequate, clean and hygienic showers, supported by a maintenance regime, must allow players and umpires private access. 

Separate, secure accommodation must be provided for umpires and should be of a standard comparable to the players’ dressing rooms. 

Spectator toilet facilities should be separate from all player and match-official facilities, with access preserving player and umpire privacy. 

Clean, hygienic and adequately equipped toilet, washing and hand-drying facilities must be available for males and females. 

Boundary at least 1m inside hard obstruction. Clubs are totally responsible for ensuring that reasonable and proportionate safety measures are in place at all times. 

A rope or painted boundary must be positioned at least one metre inside walls, fences, steps or other hard obstructions, except for a tree standing well inside the boundary 

The club must have a pavilion to which full access is available on all League and cup match days. 

A dedicated area must be available for match teas. It may form part of a bar provided it is exclusive to players, scorers and match officials during tea. 

Any kitchen area used must comply with legal health and safety requirements. 

The pavilion must be less than 50 metres from the outfield boundary. 

Adequate heated/seated social area where applicable. 

A bar is not mandatory. Where provided, it should be adequately staffed and open before the close of play. 

Required cricket facilities must not be restricted or made unavailable by other events. 

Adequate spectator seating should be available around the ground. 

Spectator seating must be safe, serviceable and maintained in good condition.
