Robin Webster had spent all his club career at Hornsea Cricket Club and was indeed one of their leading all time wicket takers having taken 541 wickets at an average of 9.48. In 1963 he took 9/33 against British Rail North. 

 

He lived in the town and supported the club whenever he could. 

 

Robin once told me that in the 50's when times were hard they would sometimes cut the wicket with hand shears!
