ATTIS ECB Yorkshire Premier League North
MICK DRURY
From everyone at DTCC, we would like to acknowledge the passing of Mick Drury.
The entire club wishes to recognise the immense contribution Mick made over so many years—through his coaching, captaincy, leadership, and unwavering dedication.

Mick coached our junior players in various capacities from 1997 through to 2024, shaping generations of young cricketers.

He managed the 1st team in 2012 and 2013, guiding us during our Yorkshire League Cup victories.

His captaincy included a spell with the 1st team in the early 1990s, followed by leading the 2nd team between 2003–2008, with an additional season in 2012.

As a player Mick contributed greatly to the team scoring 1000’s of runs over his Driffield career.

Mick was a major driving force for the club entering the Yorkshire League which at the time was a huge and potentially risky step for a small town club.

As chairman, Mick helped steer the club through what was arguably the most successful period in our history, highlighted by the 2022 Premier League win.

We want to express our heartfelt appreciation for all the time, effort, and passion he devoted to DTCC.

It’s difficult to put into words just how significant a role he played in shaping the club into what it is today.

Mick will be sorely missed, and his loss will be felt by everyone at Kings Mill Road.
Thank you for everything, Mick.
