Everybody at Staithes Cricket Club is absolutely devastated to learn the news that we have sadly lost one of our own, Chris “Crippa” Jackson. 

 

Crippa represented our club across a number of years, starting out in our junior team and most recently being a part of our back to back promotion winning 2nd team. 

 

Off the field, Crippa was a fantastic club man. Always generous when it came to fundraising events and always willing to help out wherever he could - most notably standing as umpire for us every year on Army’s Day. Crippa was one of the best people to be around when we celebrated a win in the bar over a few pints. 

 

We send our most sincere condolences to Crippa’s family at this heartbreaking time. 

 

We haven’t just lost a teammate, we’ve lost a great friend and a top, top man.
