HUNTERS ECB Yorkshire Premier League North
ECB PREMIER DIVISION II
(please note this page is still in progress!)
YPLN's ECB Premier Division II will commence in 2025 for that season. It will be operated as an ECB Premier Division and not be regionalised. There will only be one difference from the top division with the allocation of umpires being made by the YPLN Umpire Manager and payments being made at the end of the season as with other YPLN divisions which do not have ECB Premier Division status.

The creation of an additional division at the top will inevitably lead to promtions over and above the usual number. The only relegation within the entire league will be the two bottom clubs in the ECB Premier Division (ECB Premier) who will join ECB Premier Division II (Premier II). Teams do not have to accept the option of promotion, in which case they should make the League aware prior to 1 August by emailing administration@yplncricket.co.uk
The top team in each of Championship East & Championship West will be promoted to the ECB Premier Division.
The two teams finishing in the bottom two places of the ECB Premier will be relegated to Premier II.
Championship East: the teams placed from 2nd to 5th will be promoted to Premier II subject to meeting criteria.
Championship West: the teams placed from 2nd to 5th will be promoted to Premier II subject to meeting criteria.
Division One East: top six promoted to Championship East subject to meeting criteria.
Division One West; top six promoted to Championship West subject to meeting criteria.
Division Two Ebor, Galtres, & Holderness: Top three sides in each division promoted to Division One plus the next two teams with the next highest number of league points across all three divisions. Colton Institute will enter into D1. Subject to meeting criteria.
Division Three Ebor, Galtres, & Holderness: Top three teams in each division promoted to the relevant D2. The fourth placed club in two of the divisions will be promoted to the relevant D2 dependent on the divisions from which teams were promoted from D2 to D1. Subject to meeting criteria.
Division Four Ebor, Galtres, & Holderness: Top three teams in each division promoted to the relevant D3. The fourth placed club in two of the divisions will be promoted to the relevant D3 dependent on the divisions from which teams were promoted from D3 to D2. Subject to meeting criteria.
Division Five Ebor: Teams promoted to take account of reduced numbers in D4 Ebor & Galtres.
New Teams: Colton II will enter into D5 Ebor. Subject to AGM acceptance teams from The York Vale Cricket League will enter at D4 or D5 Ebor or Galtres level.
