ATTIS ECB Yorkshire Premier League North
Cup Manager's Report
2025 was our biggest ever cup year, with 179 entrants into nine cups. It was also a year of change, with the last running of the U19 T20 Cup and the first running of the YPLN Hundred.

YPLN teams delivered a strong showing in national cup competitions. York 1s won our T20 Blast competition and then progressed to the Area Finals of the ECB Club T20. They also made it to the national stages of the ECB National Club Championship and the semi-final of the K3 Dental Cup, so a fantastic year all round. Woodhouse Grange 2s won our T20 Plate and went on to the Area Finals of the ECB T20 Plate. Carlton Towers 1s progressed to the national stages of the Village Cup.

The inaugural YPLN Hundred pitted Premier Division 2 teams against Championship teams and it was a team from the lower division, Dunnington 1s, that emerged triumphant at the end of a thrilling Finals Day. Dunnington also won the Championship T20 Cup capping an epic cup year for the team.

Arthington 1s, in their first year in YPLN, won the Edward Readman Trophy in emphatic style and look set to make quite an impression on the Championship in 2026. Crossgates 1s won their third cup in three years, taking the Dave Conner Trophy to add to the Midgley and Wilberfoss titles from 2023 and 2024. Forge Valley 1s, another new member of the league, won the Wilberfoss Trophy and Stockton & Hopgrove 1s took home the Deals Daddy Trophy. Finally, Clifton Alliance won the U19 T20 Trophy in its final year. Congratulations to the winners and all those who took part.

A special thanks to all the clubs who hosted Group Days or Finals. These are a showcase for the great facilities that our clubs offer, as well as being a potentially valuable fundraising opportunity for hosts.

2026 will see an expanded Championship Cup with the addition of Championship Central. The Championship Cup will also have a “Finals Day” for the first time, with semi-finals and final on the same day, after near-universal feedback from teams requesting this.

Having received very positive feedback from participants in the YPLN Hundred we will offer a new Hundred cup competition to Division 1 and Division 2 teams, to complement their existing T20 cups.
